Deborah is married and the Mother of 4 children. She loves Dance, Music, spending time with her family and taking her Labradoodles for long walks on the Beach. Her love for fitness began as a young Dancer. Attending dance class was her favorite time of the day! Discipline, dedication and her love of movement allowed her to become a part of her local Dance Company. Her passion to become a Fitness Professional came from this wonderful time in her life. This lead to 20 years as a Dance teacher and 15 years in Fitness.

Deborah is so excited to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with ALL fitness levels in her studio. She strives to inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle, reaching personal goals, feeling great and having fun! Deborah and her highly trained staff of instructors are looking forward to working with you.

My passion for fitness started when I was very young. I was very involved in gymnastics, soccer, dance, and martial arts for several years. As soon as I was old enough to join the gym, I would work out there on a daily basis. Fitness has always been a huge part of my life, so I decided to minor in Exercise Science at the University of Rhode Island. The courses I took inspired me to become a fitness instructor so I could share my passion and knowledge with others. When I teach fitness classes, I try to make the classes fun but also very challenging. I love to teach very high intense, full body workouts that help people progress their level of fitness and achieve goals they did not think were possible. My ultimate goal is to inspire people to live a healthy lifestyle. Exercise has so many benefits and is truly preventative medicine. I hope to inspire others to become passionate about health and fitness so that they can also inspire the people around them.

Val Trainor has been teaching Zumba for over 4 years in various locations throughout the state. With a background in music and dance, Val loves the Zumba program and is delighted to create new fans of the exercise. When she is not teaching, she works as an Academic Advisor at the University of Rhode Island, and she is also mom to 3 children. Please come try Zumba today!

Maribeth is a graduate of URI with a double degree in Kinesiology and Psychology combining her passion for how the body moves and how the mind works. In addition to her formal education, she has an extensive background as an accomplished company dancer-a student for 17 years with the RI State Ballet, as well as captain of the URI Ramettes, and a kickboxing instructor for a exclusive college promotion with HBO Sports/Rollingstone Magazine. At age 9 she performed in “The King and I” with Yul Brynner and Betsy Plamer. Her work as a photographer’s model won national acclaim throughout the USA and Europe. Prior to 20 years of teaching in the fitness arena, Maribeth worked as a Public Relations and Graphic Design Director at RI State Department of Elderly Affairs. Today she is currently working on her first book, entitled "Identify, Develop, and Preserve your Greatest Assets for an Ageless Future". Married for 25 years with three children.

Kristin Laughlin

Kristin White Loughlin has been involved in dance, performance and physical transformation for more than 20 years. After receiving her Dance degree from Dean Collage in Franklin MA. Kristin went on to a successful career as a dancer/choreographer, performing on stages of Busch Gardens, Opryland USA, Norwegian Cruise Lines and stage productions in China, New York, and throughout the Western US. She was also involved in many commercials, industrials, and country music videos. Upon returning to her home state of Rhode Island, Kristin joined the family business at Warwick Dance and Gymnastics Academy in Warwick, where she is currently chief choreographer and Dance director. In 2012 she received her Pilates certification from the United States Pilates Association, which owns the original rights and archives to the authentic Joseph Pilates method of body conditioning. Kristin is the mother of two wonderful boys, who are extremely active in soccer, hockey, and lacrosse. She has studied the art of movement for several years and would to share her love, knowledge, and passion with others.

Exercise has always been a part of my life, but I never imagined such fun as Zumba! In early years I rode horses and took ballet. Later, I found cheering and cheered through college for the UMaine Black Bears. I wanted to be a group exercise instructor but became immersed with career, a move from Maine and raising four children. Now, I'm returning to where I left off and Zumba is my motivation. Come join the fun at CBX!

Dayna Passaretti

Dayna has always had a passion for the music, dance and the arts.She has been involved in Hip Hop dance and performance over 14 years. She also has a solid background in kempo karate, thai boxing, and kick boxing. In high school, she was a member and did the choreography for the South Kingstown High School Dance Team. Dayna went on to perform and do the choreography for URI’s Hip Hop Dance team for 4 years. She competed and performed at sports events and special shows throughout the New England area. She continues to involve her passion with her lifestyle as well as inspiring others to do the same. Her Hard Core Hip Hop class is not to be missed!

Jen Santos

Jen Santos has been in the fitness industry for over 18 years. A former dance teacher in Virginia and Massachusetts, she began her career teaching group fitness at dance studios. After falling in love with group fitness, she decided to educate herself in other areas of fitness that interested her. She went on to receive certifications in Personal Training, Nutrition counseling, Stott Pilates, Dot Fit, Kettlebell, and others.

As a Master Trainer , she has taught many master classes, and instructor trainings in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She enjoys teaching various types of classes, such as, step aerobics, functional training classes, interval training, and weight training. Her background in personal training enables her to teach safe and effective classes for all fitness and ability levels.

She is currently the Group Fitness Director at Fitworld of Cranston. She supervises a staff of 12-15 instructors, creates and formats all schedules, as well as instructs many classes there. Her work will be featured on a reality show currently being filmed.

Her counseling degree from the University of Rhode Island, aides in her nutrition counseling and personal training clients. She has certifications from, AFAA, ACE, Stott, Kettlebell Concepts, Dot Fit, Turbo Kick, and has participated in countless workshops in training, including Perform Betters Functional Training Summit. She is passionate about fitness, and loves introducing fitness instruction to others.

Kaley Weintraub

Kaley began dancing and competitively swimming at the age of 4 in her home of Tuscon, AZ. Although she is most passionate about classical ballet, she has also excelled and performed in modern dance, jazz, contemporary ballet and hip hop. Her most memorable performances took place at the Arizona Ballet Theatre, under the choreography and direction of Cecily Bressel. Kaley was a member of the inter-collegiate varsity swim team at URI for 2 years. she performed with the Synchronized Swim Team competition in 2008. For the past 4 years, she has become passionate about sharing her Ballet, Swim and Classical Pilates Training into a challenging, unique and thoroughly enjoyable BARRE class!

Kelly has taught Cardio Kickboxing for the past 15 years. She played high school and college sports. She has expanded her fitness instruction to BARRE and BootCamp classes. Combining Cardiovascular exercises with functional strength training is the best way to maintain a healthy body, mind, prevent injury, feel fantastic and happier you! Kelly strongly believes in the power and positivity of exercise. She strives to create a balanced and fun workout for everyone.

Korine Barlas

Korine Barlas has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She trained in the Elite Company at the Talent Factory and Performed with the Dance Company at The Prout School. Korine is currently studying Dance at Marymount College in NYC for her degree in Fine Arts. She has performed lead Ballet roles in Alice in Wonderland and Kitri in Don Quote at The Prout School. Korine performed as Clara in the Nutcracker with the Rhode Island Ballet theatre. She has also performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Disney World’s Parade and the 1st Dance IV Film for her Elite Dance Company. She enjoys practicing YOGA, teaching ballet classes, Pilates Classes and Private Lessons. Korine gives a wonderful Ballet Barre Fusion class. Strengthening and Lengthening while working up a sweat at the BARRE.


Kelly Lamy

Kelly has been a group exercise instructor for many years at Luxe Fitness of South County and Westerly. She earned her Group Exercise certifications through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and her Spin Certification through Madd Dog Athletics. Kelly has also completed an intensive Barre training with BarreCoast of Westerly and is a Barre teacher there as well. She is excited to bring her passion for health and fitness to CBX. Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and all outdoor sports, including paddle boarding, skiing, biking, and golf.
